How to reach Oulu/ Transportation
You can easily travel to Oulu from Helsinki by plane or by train. The flight takes about 55 mins and train trip about 6-7 hours. If arriving by plane, there is a direct bus route number 8 to the city center and the Linnanmaa campus that leaves right outside the airport terminal. If arriving by train, you can easily reach the city center bus stops and catch a bus anywhere in the city.
Every 15 minutes, a bus runs between Oulu Airport and the city center. You can choose either bus line 8 (Airport – Teknologiakylä) or bus line 9 (Airport – Heikinharju). Travel time to the bus stop in the centre of the city (Toripakka P) is 27 minutes by bus number 8 and 35 minutes by bus number 9.
How to reach the venue
The distance from the city center to the University of Oulu (Linnanmaa Campus) is about 15 mins by car.
Bus: Buses coming from and to University are numbers 1, 2, 3 and 8. You can buy a single ticket from the driver as you get on the bus. Please have small change ready as drivers only accept cash (€4 per ticket).
